MWBE Networking Discussion

Join Mayor Kathy Sheehan on Tuesday, June 19th at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Rotunda as she hosts a discussion on MWBE in the City of Albany.  Joining her will be some powerful business owners, organizations and individuals from the Capital Region. Bios:

Brandon Gibons is the CEO of Maidmen Property Cleanout Services. Maidmen is taking the 518 area junk removal industry by storm, taking an unpleasant chore and turning it into an awesome experience for individuals, their families and their businesses. Paul Stewart is the Director of Training & Technical Assistance at Community Loan Fund of the Capital Region. Paul has been on staff at the Community Loan Fund since 1998 and has well over twenty years of experience in providing services to low income people and administering community development programs. He served as the Executive Director of Albany County Opportunities Inc. (a Community Action Program) and Director of Parish and Community Services for the Albany Catholic Family and Community Services.  He is the recent winner of the U.S. Small Business Administration award for Minority Small Business Advocate for the year.

Media Specialist DeSean Moore is local entrepreneur, Albany Barn Board Member and community activist. He has helped start over 20 small businesses this past year and is excited to continue building a culture of entrepreneurial ventures in communities most effected by poverty. When DeSean is not working marketing and branding small businesses he is usually working with youth. He is currently developing a youth character development project using electric media arts.  He is a graduate of Rensselaer  Polytechnic Institute with a Degree in Management and Marketing, Minor in Electric Media Arts.
