The City of Albany offers 36 facilities with a variety of 11 different amenities which include: playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, handball courts, swimming pools, baseball/softball fields, spray pads, ice skating/roller skating and community centers. The City of Albany’s Department of Recreation will be hosting a variety of summer programs to all Albany residents. These programs include: Rock and Jock at Hoffman on the first Friday of every month with music, games, and dancing; Running Club at Lower Lincoln on Mondays, Volleyball at Swinburne on Mondays and Wednesdays, Roller Skating at Swinburne daily, Sit to be Fit at St. Sophia’s Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, Zumba classes at Sheridan Prep, Stories and Art in the Park at Washington Park and the annual Allympics on August 24 and 25 at Lower Lincoln Park.

The Department of Recreation will also be partnering with Albany Housing Authority for the 2017 Summer Food Service Program. This program offers free breakfast and lunch for those under the age of 18 years old at various sites around the city, including Hoffman Community Center at 7 Hoffman Ave Albany, NY 12209.
