This year, the City of Albany will be presenting it's inaugural Henry Johnson Award for Distinguished Community Service on June 7th. If you know an Albany resident who has made meaningful contributions to our community in arts and history, social justice, education or volunteerism, please complete the following form. All nominations are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2017. Rules:
- All nominations will be reviewed by the Henry Johnson Award Committee, made up of members from the City's all-volunteer Cultural Heritage & Tourism Partnership and the Henry Johnson Day Working Group.
- Individuals may not nominate themselves, nor may they be nominated by members of the Award Committee. They may be nominated by family members, friends, neighbors, colleagues/coworkers and employees.
- The winner will be selected at the discretion of the Award Committee, based on the strength of the nomination, including the length of service to the community and impact of work as described by the nominator.
- The nominator and winner will be notified by email and/or phone by the Award Committee Chair; the award will be presented at the Henry Johnson Day Ceremony on June 5, 2017. Details to follow.
