Department of Recreation
The Department of Recreation is Albany's provider of fun activities for the whole community. Operating scheduled programs and self-guided opportunities year-round, REC boasts amenities that include playgrounds, pools, athletic courts and fields, community centers, a skating rink, a skateboard park, gyms, and more.
Through recreational activities, our purpose is to build connections in our community, as well as develop fundamental social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills for community members to enjoy life.
REC is what makes Albany a great place live, work, and PLAY!
